Today is my third day of blogging and I seem to be getting the hang of things. I'm sort of hoping for someone to read this and get others to follow along. But who knows, God has a plan in all things and i'm sure has a plan with something as simple as this blog!
As Thursday approaches (the day i'm getting my wisdom teeth removed), I feel myself getting more and more anxious/nervous. It's only normal right?! But something God's been teaching me is not to worry about anything. God has my life in His hands and He has control. Sometimes people question God when things go bad, or they just don't understand why God is putting them through something. I guess what we have to remember is that God does in fact have a plan.
I've always wondered what my purpose is in life. Why does God want me here? Why did He give me the family that He did? Why do I have to struggle with sin? Why are all my friends beginning to stumble? So many questions that I often throw at God. He has been soo patient with me and so loving! He knows my every thought before I even think it! Something I like to remember is that "the testing of our faith produces perseverence(James 1:2)" God will never give us something He doesn't think we can handle.
My question for you reading this is: what are some things that God has allowed you to go through? Is there anything that just doesn't seem fair? I'd love to hear from you, and be praying for you!

Late Start
It's day 2 of my blog and I'm beginning to think that early mornings are the time for writing!
Today I was off to a late start as I slept in til noon after babysitting til 2am last night. Nonetheless, I was able to pack loads of fun into my remaining daylight hours.
I showered and cleaned up, and was out the door by 2pm to go shopping with my friend Virginia, in order to buy a birthday gift for our friend Emily's Sweet 16. After hitting up Walmart, Target, and the good 'ol mall, we had a plethora of items for Emily's gift. (While at Walmart, I found applesause in a pouch that was only sixy cents!! It's my new favorite thing!)
After a quick stop at Virginia's, we were off to Emily's party. It was lots of fun playing Encore, a white elephant gift circle (total madness!), and eating lots of food. It was a great party!
After the party, Virginia, Caroline, and I rented the movie Charlie St. Cloud. Lots of things made sense as this was my second time seeing it! Man do I love that movie.
Anyways, it's currently 1:19am and I'm going to our traditional church service that begins at 9, so I have an early morning. Nonetheless, God is still good! He never ceases to amaze me each and every day!!
I'll end today's post with a question....this is for all the atheists out there, or anyone unsure of their faith.
How do you explain the beauty of our earth? I mean, when you're at the beach and you look out into the ocean, don't you think about the fact that none of that could have "just happened"? God's fingerprints are all around us. If you think that believing in a God just seems like too much to wrap your mind around, think about this. Our world is spinning millions of miles per hour and we don't feel it. We don't fall off. Or how about the people in Australia or countries on the bottom of the globe. They're 'hanging upside down' but to them, they're standing rightside up. When I think about the fact that I believe all this about our earth and don't question it, but sometimes I doubt or question God....it confirms my faith that much more.
I don't mean to ramble, I'm just curious about other views. Feel free to comment with questions or feelings. I'd love to hear from you!
Goodnight!

Here Goes Nothing
Black Friday....seemed like any other day to me, considering I didn't do any crazy shopping. At 2:30 I went out to Hartville to babysit for the Karmies (Colton and Jennilee). Their oldest son Derek plays football for Lake and their team made it to finals and had to go all the way out to Columbus for the game. That's where I come in....I'm the babysitter! I got to watch them until 2am. It was such a fun time. I love and adore their children as if they were my own.
So here I am, 2:41am, writing this blog. I don't really know what made me decide to start a blog, but hopefully this turns out to be an exciting new adventure. I hope to share of my milestones, celebrations, surprises, and day-to-day challenges. As my title goes, "This Christian Life Ain't Always Easy."
I hope no one has ever told you the lie that "once you become a Christian, it's all smooth sailing" because let me tell you now, that's definitely not the case. But don't take that the wrong way....God can use you in amazing ways and will bless you in soo many ways. He is able to do what we ask of Him, and even more than we could ever imagine!!
But let's save stories and details for another day. It is now 2:44am. Post #1 seems to be a success. Many more to come! (Let's hope my english and writing style improves along the way as well!)
